Instalar o Actualizar Docker Engine en Linux Fedora

Para instalar Docker Engine en Linux Fedora ejecuta los siguientes comandos desde una terminal.

Si ya tienes Docker Engine instalado primero debes desinstalar la versión anterior. Todo lo que hayas instalado en /var/lib/docker (imagenes, contenedores, volumenes, etc.) queda intacto.

[simterm]$ sudo dnf remove docker \
docker-client \
docker-client-latest \
docker-common \
docker-latest \
docker-latest-logrotate \
docker-logrotate \
docker-selinux \
docker-engine-selinux \
docker-engine
[/simterm]

Luego sigue con los comandos para instalar la nueva version de Docker Engine.

[simterm]$ sudo dnf -y install dnf-plugins-core[/simterm]

[simterm]$ sudo dnf config-manager \
–add-repo \
https://download.docker.com/linux/fedora/docker-ce.repo
[/simterm]

[simterm]$ sudo dnf install docker-ce docker-ce-cli containerd.io docker-compose-plugin [/simterm]

Listo, ahora inicia Docker con el siguiente comando.

[simterm]$ sudo systemctl start docker [/simterm]

Ahora puedes probar Docker con una de tus imagenes o corriendo la de hello-world con el siguiente comando.

[simterm]$ sudo docker run hello-world[/simterm]

La respuesta seria algo como lo siguiente indicando que tienes Docker Engine correctamente instalado.

Status: Downloaded newer image for hello-world:latest

Hello from Docker!

 1. The Docker client contacted the Docker daemon.
